Jean-Jacques Soudeil has been serving his traditional cuisine here for 30 years. His Beaujolais specialities include coq-au-vin, home-made terrines, snails, home-made foie gras and beef with morel mushrooms that continue to delight. Choose a Morgon to go with these dishes from the 18 he has on his wine list, or make the most of his wine by the glass, so that you can enjoy a different Cru with each dish! There really is something for everyone! All this in a rustic setting with a magnificent view over the vines!

Between Cluny and Tournus, in the heart of the Burgundy region, push open the door to La Table de Chapaize. In a harmonious setting, combining warm materials with modern decor, Laurence welcomes you quite simply to the warm atmosphere she has created. Gilles Bérard prepares cuisine that is both simple and generous. Using seasonal produce, his menu changes twice a month. The bread and the chocolate are both crafted on site. A rotunda winter garden, bathed in light, delightful reception rooms open to guests, a music room, a billiards room and a reading room. You will be given a true welcome in this authentic 1930s house with wide terraces overlooking magnificent parkland with century-old trees. Tasty, flavourful cuisine, using much of the produce from the vegetable garden and organic produce from neighbouring farms, will please the most exacting of gourmets. You can also, by reservation, enjoy a relaxation treatment (shiatsu or Chinese acupressure), given in the next door practice run by the owner, who is a therapist. An engaging site, from which you can tour to explore the hidden treasures of the Lyon and Beaujolais regions.
