Crémant de Bourgogne Brut Rosé

This rosé Crémant de Bourgogne is a sparkling wine made from a 100% Pinot Noir still wine, crafted using traditional methods. The limestone-clay terroir gives this sparkling wine great body and balance.
The latest addition to the estate, born in 2015!

Personality of the cuvée

The elegant finesse and fresh fruitiness of this sparkling rosé are totally charming. The cuvée is winey with complexity in the aromas and flavours, while the fine bubbles are a caress to the tongue.

From the vine to the glass

Grape variety: 100 % Pinot Noir, gown on half a hectare of southwest facing limestone-clay soil. Integrated, eco-friendly vine tending (sodded bands between the vines, working the soil), Guyot pruning, the bunches of grapes are picked by hand then placed in small, open-work cases that allow any juice to flow away, preventing oxidation. Pneumatic pressing is on the same day as the harvest, traditional vinification method, 6-month vat followed by 12-month bottle fermentation. Low dosage and minimum use of SO2.

Serving

Cellaring: up to 5 years.
Serving temperature: between 4 and 8°C.

Matching it with food

As an apéritif: as it comes or coupled with our lovely crème de cassis Noir de Bourgogne. Generally speaking, bubbles go well with any dish for any occasion: at a party with canapés and petit fours, with a buffet or at a festive meal. 
Starters: sweet and savoury salads, exotic salad.
Dishes: favour sea food, shellfish, smoked or grill fish or even caviar. Suitable to round off a companionable meal.

The association is complex and interesting, with a third set of aromas coming through: floral, seductive and bewitching. A festive flavour that will carry you to a warm atmosphere.

Tasting notes

Eye - Powdery pink.
Nose - Lively. Citrus, pink grapefruit.
Palate - Freshness, without acidity. The palatability of this cuvée is in direct correlation with how well the vines are tended. The bubbles are fine and seductive. The palette of aromas is far reaching with an almond finish.
